Should we trade Garnett ?

Postby royalofbengal on Mon Jul 24, 2006 1:56 pm

If not, we need to sign some good players around him. Mike James was a good edition at the PG, Randy Foye will be second option in that postion.

Point I do not get is why not kept Barndon Roy if we were gonna sign Mike James. Roy could have played two guards and more of a complete player with leadership qualities. PLus looks like we still want to keep Banks. Man this team needs to improve and KG is not getting any younger. He was playing with some pain last year.

I don't know much about Basketball, but KG is the Wolve's Kirby Puckett... you just don't go trading the best away.

I agree. This is still a relativly young franchise and he is defiantely the face of it. No one else even comes close. Try to keep him his career. He obviously doesn't mind the city. Hes seen at Twins games from time to time. He doesn't cause problems and he seems to be a good team mate. Wasn't he just MVP a few seasons ago? You can't just trade that away, build around it!! But what do I know, I don't even like basketball.
Umm... go Twins!!!

Do not get me wrong, I am big KG fan and you are right he is like Kirby to Twins while KG to Wolves, very good analogy. But the amount of money KG makes, TWolvess FO finds a hard time signing other good players. But remember though, Kirby took a paycut to stay in Minneosta, a gesture like that from KG would be great for the team.

""But what do I know""

Basketball is fun game to watch and also to play. If you start watching a game or two and before you know it, you will be a basketball fan. How can anybody do not like Dunks and all those nifty move cross overs. :D

See, I think the problem with basketball is probably the foul calling. There are WAY too many questionable calls. I'm all for a fair game, so when I see people like Shaq or whoever else charge through and not get calls made on them, I find it frustrating. Refs need to find a way to make the game more consistant. Traveling is way too common... I don't know, I find it hard to get into. I was a Pacer fan in the mid 90's when they had Smits, Miller, Mullen and McKey. I am a big sports fan all together, so I try to keep up. Just watching the games though, I can't get into it really. You being a basketball fan, arn't you upset at the penalty calling?

Yes, I do think it s not fair when it comes to calls. But it comes with basketball and the reputation ( Shaq ) of players. Like if Artest just bumps somebody, it will be a foul or Rasheed Wallace yelling will be a technical. But it has changed recently, Shaq i snot getting the calls as he used to and even though how much I hate Cuban, he has done a good job by sending videos to the NBA FO after each game to create awareness of the refs. I just can't wait for the Wolves to make the playoffs again including the Twins.

Hey, if they can start to clean up some of these calls I think it'll greatly help out there league. It would be nice to have the Wolves in the playoffs, I like coverage on our state, even though I'm not particularly a huge fan of other MN teams other than the Twins.
